Blockley

Blockley is a hill village situated approximately three miles northwest of Moreton-in-Marsh, boasting a predominance of Georgian stone cottages and more substantial houses built during the silk mill era, when Blockley was a significant country town of rich industrial heritage. That inheritance remains largely unspoilt, with the narrow streets of the centre preventing the invasive curiosity of casual coach visitors suffered by more well-known tourist haunts in the Cotswolds. Considered by inhabitants as a friendly and warm community it is also a desirable holiday home location.

Local Amenities include two public houses offering excellent food, a village store/coffee shop (www.blockleyshop.com), a nursery, village halls, church, hotel with top end dining, bowling green and sports club.
